Autosave and recovering work

Shapeaway autosaves every two minutes when something has changed, never in the middle of a stroke. It keeps the newest three autosaves.

After a crash

If Shapeaway didn’t close properly, the next time it starts it offers to restore the newest autosave. Choose it, then save the sculpt under a name straight away.

Finding autosaves yourself

Settings › Open autosave folder, or in Explorer:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Shapeaway\Shapeaway\Autosave

Autosaves are ordinary .shapeaway files: open any of them with File › Open.

Unsaved changes

New, Open and Quit always ask before discarding unsaved changes.
