Make tools
The Make group under the tool rail holds tools that shape clay the way you would in a studio.
Pottery wheel
Section titled “Pottery wheel”Press W. The clay spins round its vertical axis, so a brush held still shapes it all the way round. Use it for mugs, vases, bowls and turned legs: hold Carve against the spinning clay to hollow it, or Add to raise a rim.
Wire cutter
Section titled “Wire cutter”Press C, drag a line across the clay, then click the side to keep. Like a potter’s wire, it slices straight through. Use it to flatten a base, cut a model in half, or trim a block square. To keep both halves as separate pieces, use Split into parts instead.
Radial
Section titled “Radial”Repeats every stroke 2 to 16 times around the vertical axis. See Symmetry.
Starter shapes
Section titled “Starter shapes”File › New (Ctrl N) starts from a sphere, cube, cylinder, coil or slab, at a size and detail level you choose.
