Mask
Paints a mask that protects the clay from every brush, paint included. Masked clay is drawn darker.

How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”- Mask all, Invert and Clear are in the Tool tab; Show mask turns the darkening on and off.
- Mask cavities and Mask peaks mask the hollows or ridges for you.
- Extract pulls a shell off the masked area for straps, clothing and armour.
Modifiers
Section titled “Modifiers”| Hold | Effect |
|---|---|
| Ctrl or the pen’s eraser | Unmasks (also with the pen’s eraser). |
| Shift | No change: Shift doesn’t swap Paint or Mask to Smooth. |
Size and strength: [ and ] (or Ctrl + mouse wheel) change the size, - and = the strength. With a pen, pressure sets both, through the pressure curve.
