Adding bases and text

Print › Parts › Base and label adds a display base under the model as a new object.

Option	Choices
Shape	Round, square or rounded
Size and height	In millimetres
Label	Text on the front
Lettering	Raised or engraved

The lettering uses a built-in stroke font made for printing.

Tips

• Keep lettering at least 6 to 7 mm tall so it prints clearly at common nozzle sizes.
• Engraved text prints more reliably than raised text on a vertical face.
• Merge the base into the model if you want one part, or keep it separate to print it in another colour.
