Working with multiple objects
A sculpt can hold several clay objects: a head and its ears, a figure and its sword, a mug and its handle. Each object has its own detail level, look, finish and, optionally, a detail mesh and hair.
The Objects panel
Section titled “The Objects panel”| Action | Does |
|---|---|
| New | Adds an object (or New eye for an eyeball) |
| Duplicate | Ctrl D |
| Rename | Double-click the name |
| Hide / Lock | Hide it from view, or protect it from brushes |
Selecting
Section titled “Selecting”Brushes change the selected object only. A quick click on another object selects it; the selected object is highlighted.
Moving whole objects
Section titled “Moving whole objects”Press O to move, turn and scale the selected object with a gizmo. This doesn’t touch its clay, so it’s instant at any size.
One history
Section titled “One history”Undo covers every object together, in the order you worked.
Exporting objects
Section titled “Exporting objects”Exports can include everything, the selection, or each object as its own file. GLB keeps objects as separate nodes. See Export formats.
