Reference images

The Refs tab holds reference images. Add front, side and top pictures and they appear in the view, behind or over the clay.

Using them

• Line the view up with a standard view (Num 1 front, Num 3 side) and switch to orthographic (Num 5) so the reference and the clay match without perspective.
• Turn a reference’s opacity down to see the clay through it.
• References are saved with the sculpt and never appear in exports.

For photos taken from any angle (such as phone photos of a real person or object), use photo matching instead: it works out where each photo was taken.
