Hair brushes
Hair brushes act on the guides near the pointer’s ray. Shaping brushes keep guides out of the object, so combing a beard never pushes it through the chin.
| Brush | Does |
|---|---|
| Add | Plants new guides where you stroke |
| Comb | Drags guides along the stroke, like a comb |
| Length | Grows guides longer, or shorter when inverted |
| Cut | Trims guides where the stroke crosses them, like scissors |
| Puff | Lifts guides away from the surface for volume |
| Smooth | Evens out kinks and stray guides |
| Clump | Gathers neighbouring guides into locks |
| Delete | Removes guides |
- Comb first, cut last: cutting early leaves you nothing to comb.
- Use Puff at the roots for volume, Comb towards the tips for flow.
- Clump plus a little curl reads as wet or oily hair; low clump and some frizz reads as fluffy.
